Shotokan of England Karate Union

Lovedean Karate Club is a member of THE SHOTOKAN OF ENGLAND KARATE UNION. As the governing body SEKU sets the grading syllabus therefore ensuring that the standard of karate practiced is of the highest quality. Since it's launch in 1982, SEKU has grown to one of the largest shotokan organisations in the country with clubs affiliated across the south of England.

The Shotokan of England Karate Union began life in April 1982 under the guidance of SENSEI MICK DEWEY (7th Dan). Growth was almost instant with many clubs joining within months of it's birth due mainly to SEKU's commitment to traditional karate and to maintain the best possible standard, a commitment which is unbroken to this day.
